Since I started in executive search around eight years ago, it has been all about one thing: finding the best managers for companies. But the more I immersed myself in the world of my clients, the clearer it became to me: it's not just about the person who joins. It's also about how the team that's already there functions as a whole.
I always think of it like a jigsaw puzzle:
A company is like a puzzle picture - each person a piece of it and all connected to each other. In executive search, we look for the missing piece: who fits professionally, who fits personally to complete the picture?
But what if the existing pieces don't fit together perfectly? What if there is friction, rough edges that distort the overall picture?
This is where my executive consulting begins, which I now also offer with Digital Minds: I go on a journey of discovery with teams to see how well the parts really harmonize. We use personal strengths analyses - as in executive search - to find out where the potential lies. But here it's not about finding a new piece, it's about better aligning the existing pieces, making the puzzle more stable and harmonious.
The end result is, among other things, a newly developed value compass that gives the team orientation and cohesion. It is impressive to see how much more is possible when not only the right manager joins the team, but the team itself grows into a better and more efficient unit.
This combination of executive search and executive consulting inspires me anew every day.
